Time asks the weather, how much time the weather has“, begins the opener of a Portuguese tongue twister which plays on the identical Portuguese words for “time” and “weather” (tempo). In this way, two universal variables that fundamentally influence all our living conditions and that cause huge changes are playfully brought together. Through the media of film, installation, drawing, sculpture, performance and hand-built projection machines, the artists Aliénor Dauchez, Nils Benedikt Fischer, Mónica Martins Nunes and Juliane Tübke explore change and transformation processes, be they of a climatic, technical, or psychological nature.
