Circle #2 A Resting Infrastructure | Inklusiver Workshop von Valentina Karga in Kooperation mit MINA e.V. im Rahmen von Who Cares? Feminist Art Festival

Workshopsprache: leichte Sprache/ deutsch

Circle #2 A Resting Infrastructure | Inclusive Workshop by Valentina Karga in cooperation with MINA e.V. in the framework of Who Cares? Feminist Art Festival

Workshop language: easy language/ German

Free entry / Binding registration requested to info@icollective-berlin.com or here.

As a start of the festival Who Cares? by the curatorial collective iCollective, the inclusive workshop deals with the production and processing of textiles. Valentina Karga invites participants to join her in producing a soft circular infrastructure with textiles. This piece of cloth will be coloured with natural dyes and participants will be able to draw on them with earthen pigments. By doing so, they will learn about the alchemy of natural colour as well as create together empowering thoughts to counterbalance the culture of growth with one of rest and care.

In our growth-driven culture, rest is a theme that is either neglected or commodified. However, growth needs rest; there cannot be one without another. Growth alone is unsustainable and rest alone is inertia. Facilitating rest is care and an important active measure, for oneself, for a community or the planet.

In cooperation with Mina e.V. the workshop was refined by Valentina Karga.
