Das Theaterprojekt MEHR_PLATZ interveniert in die Rede vom Problemkiez Mehringplatz – indem es die überfällige postmigrantische Lücke besetzt und ein performativ-theatrales Statement setzt, mit der Bestrebung die vernachlässigte Perspektive der Migration in einer Gegend mit Migrationsvordergrund sichtbar zu machen, temporär die Lebensqualität im Kiez zu verbessern – und die Außenwahrnehmung zu stärken, indem sie den Kiez als kulturwürdig erklärt. Das Little Black Fish Collective (LBFC) erarbeitet mit einem generationsübergreifenden, diversen und inklusiven Ensemble, bestehend aus Profis und Laien eine Inszenierung, deren Ziel es ist, mit künstlerischen Mitteln die Lebensrealitäten, Erfahrungen, Wünsche und Visionen der AnwohnerInnen des Mehringplatzes aufzuzeigen und für das Publikum erfahrbar zu machen. Als Textgrundlage dienen ausgesuchte Gedichte aus dem Lyrikband „Ich wollte bleiben.Ich ging” von Geflüchteten aus „The Poetry Project“ und Monologe aus dem Stück „Europa verteidigen“ von Konstantin Küspert. Das Projekt wurde erstmalig im Herbst 2021 als Open-Air-Veranstaltung auf dem Mehringplatz gezeigt und wird jetzt in einer weiterentwickelten Version am 12.,13. und 14.05.2022 im feldfünf zur Aufführung gebracht.
Der Abend beginnt jeweils um 19 Uhr (Treffpunkt feldfünf) mit einem gemeinschaftlichen Spaziergang über den Mehringplatz. Im Anschluss beginnt die Vorstellung in feldfünf.

The theater project MEHR_PLATZ intervenes in the talk of the problematic neighborhood Mehringplatz - by occupying the overdue postmigrant gap and making a performative-theatrical statement, with the aspiration to make visible the neglected perspective of migration in a neighborhood with a migration background, to temporarily improve the quality of life in the neighborhood - and to strengthen the external perception by declaring the neighborhood worthy of culture. The Little Black Fish Collective (LBFC) works with an intergenerational, diverse and inclusive ensemble, consisting of professionals and amateurs, to create a production whose goal is to use artistic means to show the realities, experiences, desires and visions of the residents of Mehringplatz and to make them tangible for the audience. Selected poems from the poetry collection "Ich wollte bleiben.Ich ging" by refugees from "The Poetry Project" and monologues from the play "Europa verteidigen" by Konstantin Küspert serve as the textual basis. The project was first shown in the fall of 2021 as an open-air event at Mehringplatz and will now be performed in an enhanced version on 12,13 and 14.05.2022 at feldfünf.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. (meeting point feldfünf) with a community walk across Mehringplatz. Afterwards the performance starts in feldfünf.
