Der Landschaftsarchitekt Kamel Louafi zeigt in seiner Ausstellung Kamel Louafis Faszination und Choreografie der Landschaft. Orient triff Okzident – So nah und doch so fern von ihm verwirklichte Projekte aus den letzten 30 Jahren und bringt sie mit Fotografien und Statements zu ihrer Entstehungsgeschichte zusammen. So wird sichtbar, wie in seinen Gärten Elemente aus Kunst und Landschaftsarchitektur ebenso wie aus „Orient und Okzident“ zu verschmelzen beginnen. Neben den Inachevées – Unvollendete Projekte in einer arabesken Installation bilden die Hängenden Gärten im Zentrum des Raumes die Gegensätze zwischen gestalteter und zerstörter Landschaft ab.
Die Ausstellung findet anlässlich der Veröffentlichung seines Buches LANDSCHAFTsPROMENADE und PLAUDEREIEN sowie der Präsentation des Films Zwischen den Welten von Susanne Isabel Yacoub am 31.07.2022 statt.
Bei feldfünf ist der Startpunkt für die Wanderausstellung, die nach Berlin unter der Schirmherrschaft der Deutschen Botschaft in Batna (Algerien) – dem Geburtsort von Kamel Louafi – zu sehen sein wird (Vernissage: 24.09.2022). Danach wandert die Ausstellung leicht verändert weiter nach Algiers (Vernissage: 08.10.2022) und wird von Film-Screenings und Konferenzen begleitet, u.a. mit Prof. Dr. Lisa Diedrich (SLU Landscape, Malmö) und Claus Käpplinger (Architektur- & Stadtkritiker und Lehrender, Berlin) begleitet. Die Ausstellung wird 2023 weiter nach Oran und Bechar (Algerien), über Tunis (Tunesien) bis nach Paris (Frankreich) wandern.
Kamel Louafi ist Dienstag, Mittwoch und Freitag von 18–20:00 Uhr sowie Samstag und Sonntag von 15–19:00 Uhr persönlich anwesend.

Kamel Louafi's Fascination and Choreography of the Landscape. Orient Meets Occident – So Near and Yet so Far | Exhibition curated by Prof Dr Lisa Diedrich

Landscape architect Kamel Louafi's exhibition Kamel Louafi's Fascination and Choreography of Landscape. Orient meets Occident – So Near and Yet so Far showa projects realized by him over the last 30 years and brings them together with photographs and statements on their genesis. In this way it becomes visible, how elements from art and landscape architecture as well as from "Orient and Occident" begin to merge in his gardens. In addition to the Inachevées – Unfinished Projects in an arabesque installation, the Hanging Gardens in the center of the room depict the contrasts between designed and destroyed landscape.
The exhibition takes place on the occasion of the publication of his book LANDSCHAFTsPROMENADE und PLAUDEREIEN and the presentation of the film Zwischen den Welten by Susanne Isabel Yacoub on July 31, 2022.
At feldfünf is the starting point for the traveling exhibition, which will be on view after Berlin under the patronage of the German Embassy in Batna (Algeria) – the birthplace of Kamel Louafi (Vernissage: Sept 24, 2022). Afterwards, the exhibition will move on to Algiers, slightly modified (Vernissage: Oct 8, 2022) and will be accompanied by film screenings and conferences, among others with Prof. Dr. Lisa Diedrich (SLU Landscape, Malmö) and Claus Käpplinger (architecture & urban critic and lecturer, Berlin). The exhibition will continue to travel to Oran and Bechar (Algeria), via Tunis (Tunisia) to Paris (France) in 2023.
Kamel Louafi is present Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 6–8 pm & Saturday and Sunday 3–7 pm.
