Berlin Award 2021 | Ausstellung der Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen

Die Ausstellung zum Berlin Award 2021 zeigt alle 48 eingereichten Projekte in den Projekträumen, sowie an den Außenflächen von feldfünf.
Der Berlin Award wurde von der Berliner Senatsbaudirektorin Regula Lüscher ins Leben gerufen, um maßgeblich zur Verbesserung der Lebensqualität im städtischen Raum durch beispielhafte Projekte beizutragen. Neue urbane Maßstäbe entstehen durch anspruchsvolle architektonische Qualität und durch Projektinitiativen, die mit ihrer Ausstrahlung positiv auf das Umfeld wirken. Der Berlin Award soll die bewährten Baukulturpreise Berlin und Deutschlands ergänzen und mit seinem interdisziplinären und auf Kooperation ausgerichteten Profil eine wichtige Lücke schließen.
Die fünf Kategorien für die der Award vergeben wurde sind Gebaute Infrastrukturprojekte, Umgewidmete oder angeeignete Orte, Live | Work Spaces und Home-Office-Grundrisse, Ungewöhnliche Nachbarschaften oder Typologien, die neue Orte schaffen und Moderationsprozesse, die erfolgreich waren für die Entstehung eines städtebaulichen Projekts. Das Quartier am ehemaligen Blumengroßmarkt wurde in der Kategorie Moderationsprozesse von der Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen ausgezeichnet.

Berlin Award 2021 | Exhibition by the Senate Department for Urban Development
Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays, 11 am to 7 pm, Saturdays and Sundays 11 am to 6 pm
The exhibition for the Berlin Award 2021 shows all 48 submitted projects in the project rooms, as well as on the outdoor areas of feldfünf.
The Berlin Award was established by Berlin Senate Building Director Regula Lüscher to contribute significantly to improving the quality of life in urban areas through exemplary projects. New urban standards are created through sophisticated architectural quality and project initiatives that have a positive impact on their surroundings. The Berlin Award is intended to complement the established building culture awards of Berlin and Germany and, with its interdisciplinary and cooperation-oriented profile, to fill an important gap.
The five categories for which the award was given are built infrastructure projects, repurposed or appropriated places, live | work spaces and home office floor plans, unusual neighborhoods or typologies that create new places, and facilitation processes that were successful for the emergence of an urban development project. The neighborhood at the former Blumengroßmarkt was awarded in the category Moderation Processes by the Senate Department for Urban Development.
