Sculpturass
26.08.2020, 18:00 – 20:00 Uhr

Unkontrollierter Mariconeo – Voguing Femme, Perreo y twerk

28.08.2020, 18:00 – 20:00 Uhr

Sculpturass

26.08.2020, 06:00 – 8:00 pm

Here the buttocks as a place of articulation is in the center of attention. A session that empowers with movement sequences that mobilize the pelvis and hip zone in particular. The aim is to loosen the pelvic floor to activate the buttocks and explore the possi- bilities of anal pleasure through various movements and imaginations. Pictures and sculptures (corpo- anal sculptures) will be created that interact with objects and other bodies that populate public space.

Body, voice and singing

27.08.2020, 06:00 – 08:00 pm

In the ballroom culture the presence of MCs and commentators is essential. They lend power, glamour and dignity to every performance and all performers. The MC harmonizes with the music and stimulates the energy of the ballroom through constant inter- action with performers and the audience, creates rhymes about the names of the dancers and their houses and comments on the goings-on in the ballroom. In this session the connection between the voice of the MC and the movements of the performers will be explored to examine the voice as a means of self-empowerment.

Uncontrolled mariconeo – voguing femme, perreo y twerk

28.08.2020, 06:00 – 08:00 pm

Voguing femme, Perreo and Twerk will be the subjects of this session, which will let you explore various expressive and technical elements of these dance styles. They origin from minorities and served as a tool for liberation from political and social con- straints: These movements serve as a form of protest for those read as marginalized. Physical characteristics of our bodies, flexibility, elasticity, strength

and resistance are explored in order to question the normative and binary constraints imposed on the body by the heteronormative system. In the end, collective movement scores are constructed with movements specific to each style.

Tupamaras Technophallus

29.08.2020, 08:00 pm

At the end of the workshop series stands the public performance Tupamaras Technophallus, which celebrates the queer* and liberated, diverse, empowered body by looking at dance as physical rebellion and civil disobedience. This last session will use all the creative and expressive tools explored during the previous sessions. Diverse bodily knowledge will be combined to imagine a new form of communication that will allow creative transformation of the immediate environment. In this way, unadapted move- ment becomes a vibrant language and a tool that enables new forms of interaction with urban space.
