und ein Name.
Ich singe Namen
auf die Ich achtgeben möchte,
genauso wie ich auf das Feuer
vor meinem Mund
achten muss,
damit es von meinem Atem
nicht erlischt wird.

in Form verbrannter

Betteln ist eine weltweite Tätigkeit.
Es ist unmöglich, die Zahl der Bettler*innen auf der Welt und ihren Gesamtumsatz zu kennen.
Wahrscheinlich sind es Milliarden.
Das Leben auf der Straße ist hart und für niemanden die erste Wahl.
Es zeigt das Versagen einer Gesellschaft, ihren Mitgliedern ein menschenwürdiges Leben zu bieten.
Der Kapitalismus ist ein System, in dem reiche Menschen reicher werden und arme Menschen arm bleiben.
Er hat in hohem Maße zum Elend vieler Menschen beigetragen und würde wahrscheinlich direkt von den Almosen profitieren, die Bettler*innen erhalten, wenn er könnte.
Das Kunstwerk soll vorführen, dass die ärmsten Menschen abgezockt werden.
Die Symbolik der "Porte-bouteille" von Duchamp zielt darauf ab, die enormen Summen, die auf dem Kunstmarkt umgesetzt werden, mit der Realität der meisten Künstler*innen zu kontrastieren, die um ihr Überleben kämpfen.
Es spielt auch mit dem Publikum, das mit einer gewissen Menge an Geld konfrontiert wird, das auf dem Boden verstreut ist.
In Berlin sind Armut und Elend oft zu sehen.
Alle Berliner*innen, die mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln fahren, werden angebettelt.
Viele der Bettler haben eine spezielle Sprache, die oft in einem universellen Ton und Vokabular gehalten ist.
Die Performance von Clément Claudius wird die Präsenz dieser Bettler*innen in die Ausstellung bringen.

Begging is a worldwide known activity.
It is impossible to know the number of beggars in the world and its total turnover. Probably billions.
However, living on the street is rough and nobody’s original choice.
It shows the failure of a society to provide a decent life to its members.
Capitalism is a system where rich people become richer and poor people stay poor.
It has highly contributed to the misery of a lot of people and it would probably profit directly from the charity beggars receive if it could.
The art piece aims at showing that the poorest people are being ripped off.
The symbolic of the Duchamp “Porte-bouteille” aims at contrasting the tremendous amounts of money involved in the art market and the reality of the majority of artists who struggle to survive.
It also plays with the public, as being confronted to a certain amount of money scattered over the floor.
In Berlin, poverty and misery is often to be witnessed.
Every Berliner who takes public transportation is solicited.
Many of the beggars have a special speech, which is often in a universal tone and vocabulary.
The performance Clément Claudius will initiate aims at bringing part of these beggars presence into the exhibition.
