DESIGN INSIGHTS #3 E-Bike-City
On 2 May, we continued our DESIGN INSIGHTS event series with the International Design Centre Berlin as part of Berlin Design Week. Jakob Lehr and Jan Hillmann-Regett, founders and owners of the disgn office Mattership, were guests at the event and presented ETH Zurich’s E-Bike City project.
Jakob Lehr and Jan Hillmann-Regett have a vision: the city of tomorrow will dedicate 50% of all roads to micromobility such as two-wheelers and pedestrians.
At the DESIGN INSIGHTS event series in cooperation with our neighbours from the Metropolenhaus, the International Design Centre Berlin, the two founders of the ‘Mattership’ design studio gave practical insights into the ‘E-Bike-City’ research project at the ETH Zurich. They sought answers to the urgent question of how cooperation between design and research can spark social debate and facilitate change.
