„Staging a Change“ und „Shifting Panoramas“

„Staging a Change“ und „Shifting Panoramas“, ist eine Reihe unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Solmaz Shahbazi in Zusammenarbeit mit der Kuratorin Azar Mahmoudian, über visuelle Konzeptionen und aktuelle Transformationen der Stadtlandschaften von Teheran und Berlin. Sowohl in Teheran als auch in Berlin werden Gentrifizierung, die zunehmende Privatisierung und die Rückeroberung des öffentlichen Raums in den unterschiedlichsten Formen durch Institutionen, Universitäten und selbstorganisierte Gruppen untersucht und verhandelt. In diesem Kontext fanden bereits zwei Foren in Teheran (November 2017) und Berlin (April 2018) statt. In Kooperation mit feldfünf und BOX Freiraum geht die Reihe mit einem neuen Format weiter: die Residencies.

Ort:  feldfünf – Projekträume im Metropolenhaus

Im Rahmen von „Shifting Panoramas“ waren der Künstler Ali Meer Azimi und der Künstler und Wissenschaftler Mahan Moalemi zu Gast in feldfünf, um im Rahmen einer 1-monatigen Residency ihre Recherchen weiterzuführen. Am Ende dieses Aufenthalts geben sie in einer offenen, prozessbasierten Präsentation Einblick in ihre künstlerische Praxis, die die Beziehung zwischen Erzählungen und Territorien untersucht: Konfliktzonen, Erscheinung, Verschwinden, Partizipation, Politik und Professionalität. Diese Doppelpräsentation bringt verschiedene Fragmente der Erzählung zusammen, die von Filmausschnitten, gefundenen und hergestellten Bildern, Screenshots, Zitaten und Spekulationen getragen werden.

"Staging a Change" and "Shifting Panoramas", is a series under the artistic direction of Solmaz Shahbazi in collaboration with curator Azar Mahmoudian, about visual concepts and current transformations of the cityscapes of Tehran and Berlin. Both in Tehran and Berlin, gentrification, increasing privatization and the reconquest of public space in various forms by institutions, universities and self-organized groups are being investigated and negotiated. In this context, two forums have already taken place in Tehran (November 2017) and Berlin (April 2018). Thursday 29.11, 19:30, a working presentation by Mahan Moalemi and Ali Meer Azimi
Location: feldfünf - Project rooms in the Metropolenhaus

In the context of "Shifting Panoramas", the artist Ali Meer Azimi and the artist and scientist Mahan Moalemi were guests in feldfünf to continue their research in the context of a 1-month residency. At the end of this residency, they will give insight into their artistic practice in an open, process-based presentation that explores the relationship between narratives and territories: zones of conflict, appearance, disappearance, participation, politics and professionalism. This double presentation brings together different fragments of narrative, which are carried by film clips, found and produced images, screenshots, quotations and speculation.
