Berlin.

Berlin. The city and its planners | Exhibition | Women in Architecture 2021
Opening on 05.06.2021 in feldfünf and online

With an Open Call for Projects, the Berlin Women Planners Network n-ails e.V. set out to find known and unknown works by women architects, interior designers, landscape architects and engineers in Berlin. In order to make the buildings of female planners better known to the general public and researchers, their publication and documentation is of central importance. Only in this way can they be processed and classified in terms of their architectural and urban historical significance.

In 2018, the Berlin-based network n-ails e.V. launched a nationwide initiative for a digital collection of works by women planners during the Yes, we plan! event in Frankfurt at the Deutsches Architekturmuseum. This was carried forward by PIA e.V. in 2019 during the Summer of Architecture in Hamburg and will be continued or supplemented in 2020 as part of the WIA Festival. It forms the foundation of the exhibition.
